The ive of the Department of Child Development and Family Studies is to foster experts in the field of children and families by offering a theoretical and practical education on the psychological, social, behavioral, and developmental aspects of the individual, from childhood to old age; dealing with issues such as how to bring up a child, how to prevent the many problems arising from juvenile, teenage behavior, domestic violence between spouses, and how programs can be developed that support children and families. The Department of Child Development and Family Studies has a Play Therapy Room that is fully equipped with recording facilities, a Child and Teenager Counseling Room, a Family Counseling Room, a Family Life Training Room, and many other facilities to foster experts in the field of child and family studies. We also run the Children-Family Counseling Room, which is attached to the Senior Citizens Living Environment Research Institute, in order to prevent and resolve child and family-related problems and to provide services to the local community. The Master’s degree course is composed of three majors - child, family, and old age. By exploring the psychological, social, behavioral, and development of the person from birth to old age, the course provides students with guidance in the technologies required for adaptation in each stage of development, and exposes students to various theories on marriage and family life, all aimed at a equipping students with the ability to pursue a happy and successful personal and family life. The department also studies questions related to the overall development of children and teenagers, the parent-child relationship, and how to have a successful marriage and enhance family relations in an ever-changing society. The department also develops programs, studies theories, and conducts clinical training on the prevention and treatment of children’s psychological problems and family troubles in this ever-changing society.
