PNU Invites Outstanding Thai Science High School Students for STEM Competition

Pusan National University hosted the PNU Thailand STEM Competition 2026, bringing outstanding Thai high school students to PNU for a data- and AI-based STEM competition alongside a range of educational and cultural exchange programs.

A total of 15 students from five finalist teams, selected from Princess Chulabhorn Science High School joined the final round at PNU. The competition was held under the theme “My 2040 Data Challenge – Connect the Dots,” challenging students to identify potential challenges facing future society and develop their own data-driven ideas.

Beyond the competition, participants experienced a wide range of programs, including special lectures, exchanges with PNU students, campus tours, cultural activities, and field trips around Busan. These opportunities allowed students to experience PNU’s education and research environment firsthand.

The program also further strengthened PNU’s educational network with the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) under Thailand’s Ministry of Education, the Korean Education Center in Thailand, and leading Thai high schools. Building on these partnerships, PNU plans to continue expanding educational and cultural exchange opportunities for talented students in Thailand and beyond.

Through programs like the PNU Thailand STEM Competition, the University aims to give students opportunities to experience a broader educational environment, develop their global perspectives, and grow into future talent capable of addressing emerging challenges with new ideas and technologies.
