Benefiting from its favorable geographic location in the nation’s largest coastal city and its excellent human resources, the Marine Research Institute conducts academic research related to marine technology. The Institute was established in order to efficiently manage research resources, including funds and personnel. The Institute aims to produce experts by facilitating undergraduate and graduate education, and to contribute to the development of the local community by becoming the nation’s largest marine technology research center through the attraction of large long-term projects.
