An International Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine

PNU's School of Oriental Medicine is the only oriental medicine institution established in a national university in Korea. The school has launched Oriental Medicine (Masters) and Oriental Medical Science (Masters, Ph. D.) majors. The school has moved away from the traditional way of studying oriental medicine, towards one based on clinical tests, and is nurturing professional researchers in the field who will lead oriental medical around the world, through an inter-disciplinary approach that encompasses medical science, pharmacology, and life sciences. PNU will develop as a center for the research of oriental medicine by establishing an oriental medicine cluster involving the PNU Hospital of Oriental Medicine, Oriental Medicine Clinical Center and Industry-Academia Cluster at its Yangsan Campus, which is developing into a state-of-the-art healthcare hub.
